Bobby Hester is an Emmy Award-winning cinematographer with over 30 years of experience in the film, commercial, and broadcast industries. Based in the DFW metroplex, Bobby leads Aurora Digital Cinema and its Technocrane division, which he founded in 2015.
With a deep passion for specialty camera movement, Bobby has logged over 10,000 hours as a jib/crane operator and has developed a reputation for using dynamic movement to enhance storytelling. He regularly collaborates on both local and national productions and has worked with some of the most recognized brands in the world.
Known for his eye, dedication, and easygoing professionalism, Bobby brings both technical expertise and creative insight to every project. Whether leading a team or supporting a larger crew, he’s passionate about delivering high-quality, cinematic results and always bringing good energy to set.

Bobb Truax, SOC, is an award-winning Director of Photography and Camera Operator based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, specializing in jibs, cranes, and other specialty camera movement systems. With a passion for creating dynamic, cinematic visuals through innovative camera movement and more than 30 years of experience both locally and around the globe, he started his company, JibTex Camera Cranes. Bobb has built a reputation for his creative eye, technical expertise, and calm, collaborative presence on set. And is excited to collaborate with Aurora Technocrane.
From Technocranes to his own Jimmy Jibs, Bobb’s crane artistry adds energy and emotion to every shot. He doesn’t just operate the gear. He brings storytelling to life through movement, always with a sharp eye for detail and a deep expert-level understanding of the craft.
His work covers a wide range of projects, including feature films, television series, network specials, live music, sports, commercials, and branded content for major national clients. Whether on a fast-paced live shoot or a carefully planned narrative production, Bobb knows how to adapt, problem-solve, and elevate the creative vision.

Specializing as a Technocrane operator, Wally skilfully blends technical precision with a distinctive vision, consistently delivering dynamic and compelling imagery. With an impressive tenure collaborating alongside industry legends like Martin Scorsese, JJ Abrams, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Taylor Sheridan, Wally consistently delivers striking visuals that enhance every project. From high-stakes live broadcasts to meticulously crafted film productions, his adaptability, creativity, and expertise behind the Technocrane ensures captivating cinematic artistry in any environment.
